Back in the 60s when I was in grad school, I started a file on Sternglass, Gofman, and Tamplin. Then I left HP for 13 years to become a radiolimnologist and tossed the Sternglass file. Looks like I now have to start up another on Mangano, STAR. and the Tooth Fairy. I remember the '67 HPS Annual Meeting in Denver when Sternglass delivered his paper on the leukemia in NYC that was caused by fallout from Nevada. There were so many astonished looks on faces that people started lining up at the microphones for questions before the paper was finished. It was a very long line.
Just my own thoughts.
