RE: DEXA Scans on Children -Reply

I have a few questions regarding this issue.  What is the purpose for
your research on children?    What areas are scanned?  How often is
the same child scanned?  

Clinically, why would a physician to order a DEXA scan on a child? 
What medical conditions is he or she trying to rule out?
