Sentinel Lymph Node Biopsy
We are starting to perform SNL both for melanoma and for breast cancer.
Does anyone know of any current studies on the dosimetry associated with
these procedures. I found a reference in "Seminars in Nuclear Medicine",
1993, but it is kind of old and doesn't address exposures from the node
itself once removed or the dose to the surgeon. Any help would be
appreciated.
Also, are people performing these procedures as "standard of care" vs.
research?
Thanks,
