RE: More on VDTs
I have surveyed a lot of CRTs out of K-1059. There is usually little alpha
direct, but Beta directs usually range from 1200 dpm to 3500 dpm.. When I
asked about this, I was told that NORM was used in the manufacture of the
phosphor.

Bill, somehow I doubt the answer is this simple. One point of my
post is the
fact that a lot of these references date from the 1980s, and
computer
technology has advanced greatly during that time. Note that smears
on the
glass and plastic case generally indicate no detectable
contamination.
