Re: A-bomb survivor tells of torments, appeals for peace



I am appalled by what seems to be the defensiveness and total lack of compassion on the part of many who responded to this thread.  While I firmly believe that this use of nuclear weapons was justified as a means to shorten the
war and reduce casualties on both sides, this is not much comfort to those, including some U.S. POW's, who suffered greatly from this.  Their calls for peace should be strongly supported.

The opinions expressed are strictly mine.
