Re: Neon John and LINACs

For anyone interested in accelerators, the Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory
in Batavia, Illinois, has a website at

www.fnal.gov

Although the main accelerator at Fermi isn't linear, the first 200Mev of the
primary beam does get inserted from a LINAC. Of greater possible use is the
very extensive glossary of accelerator terms, which can be helpful when trying
to make sense out of tecnical papers. This is at

adwww.fnal.gov/operations/accgloss/gindex.html

DOE's biggest LINAC is (or was) LAMPF at Los Alamos, but they don't have much
web-presence of usefulness to the outsider.
