Sorry it took so long to reply. Very busy.
My situation is this. I'm quite familiar with the design of
electrostatic accelerators. I know almost nothing of the RF excited
ones, which I think is what medical units use, right? I'm looking
for something that I can sit down and read and come away knowing the
fundamentals. perhaps a LINAC version of Glasstone's "Nuclear
Reactor Engineering". Or a service manual on a unit :-)
I've scoured the net and have found little of use. Lots of stuff
aimed at someone with the intelligence of a reporter. But I'm
looking for engineering principles, the math and so on.
Thanks in advance for anything you can help me with.
