Colleagues,
The American Nuclear Society is sponsoring the largest international

Chattanooga Tennessee. The financial incentive for early registration ends
August 28. The full technical program (230 papers), plenary program,

www.ans.org/spectrum. The organizing committee, on behalf of the ANS Fuel
Cycle & Waste Management Division and the ANS Decommissioning,
Decontamination, and Re-utilization Division cordially invites you to
attend the 8th biannual Spectrum meeting. You may register directly from
the web page.
Here are a few additional details about the meeting:
Spectrum 2000 is an international conference on technology development and
deployment for radioactive and hazardous waste applications. The meeting
is an excellent forum for exchanging technical information and for
establishing new professional and business relationships. Spectrum is
sponsored by two ANS divisions and in cooperation with the United States
Department of Energy.
The objective of this meeting is to provide new avenues for business
development and commercialization of products and services for nuclear
waste management and for all processes that generate these wastes, namely,
decommissioning & decontamination and environmental restoration.
The plenary session, Technical Solutions for Environmental Restoration and
Cleanup Challenges, well be held from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon on Monday
September 24, 2000, and roughly 230 technical papers are scheduled for
presentation from 1:30 p.m. September 25 through noon on September 28,
2000. All papers will be available on CD-ROM shortly after the conclusion
of the meeting.
The technical program of 230 papers is distributed across 8 tracks:
· Technologies for Solving Nuclear and Hazardous Waste Management
Problems
· Environmental Cleanup and Restoration

· US DOE Technology Program Experiences
· Overview of International EM Technology Programs
