RE: Al Gore
That was before he started "reinventing" himself, wasn't it?
Where does he stand on this issue today?
He supports breaching our damns up here in the pacific northwest on the off
chance that it might save a few salmon. The hydro-electric power from those
damns supply a significant portion of the electricity for this state. That
doesn't seem to indicate that he still supports a logical, intelligent
approach to our energy needs.
In 1988, he was a staunch supporter of the second amendment to the
constitution. Now he is just as staunch a supporter of gun control. This is
a politician who flip-flops on issues before breakfast is served.
Just my opinion.

Bernard,
Please post this on RADSAFE
Al Gore, Pro Nuclear or Anti Nuclear?
In the 1988 time frame Al Gore (then a U. S. Senator from Tennessee), was
Key Note Speaker at an American Nuclear Society Meeting held at the
Opryland Hotel in Nashville. He detailed the rate of pollutants introduced
to the atmosphere from domestic and world wide fossil fuel use. He strongly
suggested nuclear power as part of the solution. He received a standing
ovation. There were over 2000 in the audience.
