It appears that Gore's position on an issue to any group before which he is 
speaking depends to a large extent upon who is picking up the bill for  
breakfast [or lunch or dinner]. BTW I think Gore is suggesting closing a 
number of  hydroelectric dams not "damns" in the Northwest, although many 
think it is a damned poor idea given the overall need for power supply.
