Just make it clear to all involved - and particularly the media and decision 
makers - that these activists effectively kill people by their actions. The 
problem is mainly perceived - based on the fear that "irradiated" equals 
"radioactive". Explain in easy terms that irradiation is a physical 
treatment - that you don't get boiled by eating boiled potatoes - or 
whatever.

What a day: I am translating these ideas about an ICRP system for plants and 
animals (units, critical species, reference molluscs (can they be 
approximated by an ellipsoid?),... you name it) - and then all these coal 
mines etc, etc.

Clearly my ideas and emotions (yes!),
