acute effects - questions

Dear Radsafers,
I did some reading on acute effects, and have some questions.

1) Hematopoietic Syndrome
As I understand one of the symptoms is the decrease in the number of
lymphocytes.
I saw a figure with "Classical Andrews" lymphocyte depletion curves,
each curve for a different 'whole body' dose.
I also read somewhere else that the number of lymphocytes differs strongly
(5000 up to 10000 per cubic mm blood???).
Our company physician told me this number changes with my health condition.
I have four questions on this subject:

1a) How accurate are these curves for dose estimation, when the date of
exposure is known?
1b) What are the variations in number of cells for one individual?
1c) What are the variations in number of cells for a average group?
1d) Is the decrease in lymphocytes the most predominant compared to the
decrease of other types of leucocytes?

2 - Radiation burns
The skin damage is sometimes referred to as "radiation burns".
The two questions I have on this subject are:

2a) Is the damage to the skin comparable to other kinds of burns?
2b) If so is the medical treatment the same?

By the way I am not trained as a physician.
Otherwise I probably would have known some of the answers.

Thanks for your help, in advance,
Paul
