DESCRIPTION OF WORK
Conduct comprehensive inspections for x-ray facilities. Provide
expert consultation to users of radiation producing equipment and
evaluate radiation facilities. Valid driver's license required.
Extensive statewide travel.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be a team player with strong work ethic. Good oral and written
communication skills. Computer experience desirable.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in
one of the physical sciences and on year of experience in radiological
health; or graduation from a two-year course in radiological,
environmental, electrical, or nuclear engineering technology and three
years of experience as described above; or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
If there are no qualified candidates, a trainee will be considered.
