RADIOLOGICAL HEALTH SPECIALIST
The New York State Department of Health is seeking an experienced Health
Physicist to work in its Buffalo Office. Duties include inspection of
facilities using x-ray equipment, accelerators and radioactive materials,
investigation of environmental contamination with radioactive materials,
response to radiological incidents and emergencies and interaction with the
public on questions relating to ionizing and non-ionizing radiation.
Qualifications: A Bachelor of Science degree in health physics or a physical
or
natural science and a minimum of three years experience in radiation protection.
The position involves extensive travel and a valid driver's license is
necessary.
Salary range is $49,573 to $61,041. Excellent benefits.
