I routinely survey our prostate implant patients subsequent to their
surgery. Using a Victoreen 450P pressurized ion chamber, I measure
exposure rates between 200 and 1200 microR/h at 3 feet, for I-125
implants, and between 50 and 500 microR/h at 3 feet, for Pd-103 implants.
The variability comes from the differences in activity and the size of
the patient.
