The EH&S department at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center is seeking

an Associate Health Physicist. The selected candidate will assist the RSO in

the management of all aspects of the Center's radioactive material license

and support medical license.

Primary Responsibilities: assist in the development / implementation of a

comprehensive radiation safety program covering both medical and non-medical

licenses. Perform contamination surveys, sealed sources leak tests &

inventories, thyroid bioassays, process incoming radioactive packages,

calibrate survey instruments, maintain radiation safety database, auditing

research labs & nuclear medicine departments. Knowledge of dose calibrator

is helpful. 

Qualifications/ Experience: Bachelors degree in Health Physics or closely

related field with minimum 2 years of experience preferably in radiation

safety. Computer knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Access is highly helpful.

Salary depends on DOE.
