Re: Uranium-Rn exposure question

Most of the radon in homes comes from the ground underneath the home

through cracks and pores in the foundation and is not directly related to

your measurement of background levels which are in the normal range. The

home "sucks" on the ground, especially in winter when it is heated while

the outside is cold. You can only determine radon levels in air by

measuring the air concentration of radon or its decay products. You cannot

assume negligible leakage.
