Request for Thorium-232 Radiological Properties

Dear RADSAFE:



Can anyone tell me if working with items radiologically contaminated with

Thorium-232 would be any different than handling items contaminated with

depleted uranium (DU)?  I am experienced in monitoring for and controlling

DU, but have not worked with Th-232.  Would probably be working with items

Th-232 contaminated in the range of 500 to 2,000 dpm/100cm2.
