RE: Solar energy.... Japan launches study on space...



If I remember correctly, they were discussing microwaves of on the order of 

1.3 MHz frequency back 20 or so years ago.  Also the original concept was to 

make use of an active transmitter receiving antenna array, which would 

monitor the power flow.  In this system, the tranmitter antenna would adapt 

itself to minimize power losses (I don't remember the details anymore) and 

if necessary take itself off line.
