Radiation Safety Officer
The Tom Baker Cancer Centre Radiation Safety Officer works under the direction of the Provincial Radiation Safety Officer to ensure that the Tom Baker Cancer Centre complies with federal, provincial, corporate and hospital legislation, regulations and policies governing sources of ionizing radiation and lasers. Responsibilities of the Tom Baker Cancer Centre RSO include: implementing the Alberta Cancer Board's radiation safety program & investigating radiation-related incidents and assisting with the Alberta Cancer Board's radiation safety training program at the Tom Baker Cancer Centre.
QUALIFICATIONS: B.Sc. (preferably in Physics or Engineering), plus a minimum of two (2) years experience in radiation safety. Candidates qualified as RT(NM) or RTT, with CAMRT membership will also be considered. Applicants should be familiar with Canadian (federal and provincial) legislation and regulations governing ionizing radiation, ultraviolet, and lasers, as well as the principles of radiation safety.
Salary: $50,892 - $65,294/annum.
