ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Responsible for the day-to-day interface between Environmental Restoration

Contractor (ERC) and other client oriented projects and the ERC Radiological

Control Program.  Provides radiological control support in the preparation

of work packages to ensure appropriate radiological controls are

implemented.  Responsible for providing technical health physics support to

assigned ERC and/or client project staff.  Performs radiological controls

self-assessments as directed. Provides radiological engineering support for

planning, equipment design, engineering controls and implementation of

radiological field activities.



JOB RELATED QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Physics, Radiological

Science, a closely related science field, or a combination of equivalent

education and relevant experience.  Minimum of eight years professional

experience in Applied Health Physics/radiological protection, with

experience in development, oversight, or implementation of an active

Decontamination and Decommissioning Program. Registry with the National

Registry of Radiation Protection Technologist (NRRPT) or Certification by

the American Board of Health Physics (ABHP) is strongly desired.  Must have

an understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to conduct of

radiological control programs.  Must demonstrate excellent verbal and

written communication skills.  Must be able to enter radiological areas and

must demonstrate the ability to access all locations including unimproved

remote areas.  Must be able to meet the requirements to be a hazardous waste

worker.
