True risk vs perception of risk

To all how are concerned:



The NCRP published a report on the subject.  I could be mistaken, but I

believe that it was NCRP report #2.  The survey population I believe was the

League of Women Voters.  The results were quite interesting.  For example,

the LOWV thought that it was five times more dangerous to live within five

miles of a nuclear power plant, than to have a loaded handgun in the home.
