Dear Bob,
I am grateful for your very comprehensive explanation. I am certainly not
aware of the latest developments and I am certainly not an expert in such
matters. I only can refer to legislation, which at least in my country
forbid any use of ionizing radiation on human beings for other purposes than
medical ones.
We have seen similar pictures in our mass media during the last weeks
referring to infrared picturing as the source and to the "tunnel". This led
me to the postulation that they were IR pictures. In Austria to my knowledge
there are used detectors for carbon dioxide exhaled by illegal immigrants on
lorries or railway waggons.
I will take this discussion as a reason to check the legal situation in the
European Union. For Austria I think I know it.
Thank you once again!
Franz
