Betreff: RE: HIGH-TECH SECURITY TOOLS GET A SECOND LOOK

My feeling will come down to strip-searching all passengers, or asking them

to be scanned by the machine. Which would you take?

--------------------------------------------------------------------

I refuse these alternatives. The alternatives are unacceptable, like a

question in the Wild West, before court "Do you want to be shot or hanged?"

The passengers have to refuse this question. "Scanned by the machine" - how

clean, not a word on radiation. How are air-ports going to cope with

strip-searching all passengers - how many millions are passing each day at

Atlanta, JFK, SLC etc. What about x-ray scanning of millions of people? Who

is willing to spend five hours waiting to be scanned or strip-searched at an

airport?

I travelled two weeks ago to Brussels from Vienna - the same speed of

passing through customs and at the gate, metal detectors, x-ray expection of

carry-on luggage as usual. What else can be done? The same situation

Brussels to Vienna. A year ago a knife, not even suitable to cut bread was

taken from me in Vienna, when checking in to a flight to Seattle - I never

got it back.

All these "threats" are put forward in order to show that the flight

companies do everything to improve safety.

------------------------------------------

I conclude, that the option ´strip search or x-rays" does not exist and

therefore no thoughts have to be wasted on it.

Franz
