Re: Heart Pacemakers and MRI
To all of you re: this topic:
I just spoke with a member of Medtronic Tech Support about persons wearing
implanted pacemaker undergoing MRI. With one exception, they indicate that a
pacemaker wearer should NOT undergo an MRI procedure. The exception is for one
particular model which can be subjected to MRI, but its memory will be erased.
This particular model is capable then of being reprogrammed remotely. Was advised
that more information is on their website at: medtronic.com
Cheers,
