Re: Heart Pacemakers and MRI



To all of you  re: this topic:

I just spoke with a member of Medtronic Tech Support about persons wearing

implanted pacemaker undergoing MRI. With one exception, they indicate that a

pacemaker wearer should NOT undergo an MRI procedure. The exception is for one

particular model which can be subjected to MRI, but its memory will be erased.

This particular model is capable then of being reprogrammed remotely. Was advised

that more information is on their website at:                 medtronic.com
