It's possible this metaphor has been carried too far.  Crows, by

definition, are black.  If you postulate white crows, you can always

come up with an albino (found in all animal populations).  If it's white

and  weighs 600 lbs, it's more likely a COW.



I suggest that this is the transition between world views, for example

from an earth-centered solar system to one that is sun-centered.  Strong

beliefs opposed that too, but the science was incontrovertible.  If the

scientific evidence against LNT and favoring hormesis is sufficiently

strong, eventually the political establishment will accept the

scientific truth.
