RE: Radium on Luminous Dial Watches

The table on page 67 of "Living With Radiation: The First Hundred Years"
indicates typical Ra-226 activity for watches as 0.1 uCi and the 10CFR30
limit as 3 uCi. Page 81 shows a watchmakers assortment of replacement radium
hands containing a total of 0.7 uCi. There are probably 200 hands in the kit
but I could get the exact count if you are interested. In addition to the
hands, the watch might have radium dots or fully painted numerals. As an
autoradiograph on p. 81 shows, the amount of paint varies considerably among
brands.

Does anyone know approximately how much Ra-226 w! as present
on the face of a
typical radium-dial wrist-watch used during the first half
of the 20th
Century?

Thanks....
