Radiologic Exam Consent Forms

Our Radiation Safety Committee is currently looking at the possibility of

drafting a consent form for patients having a radiologic examination. Are

consents used at other institutions? If so, are they provided to all

patients exposed to radiation or just those that may undergo large amount

of fluoro time?



Also, the question has been raised as to the use of fuoro for feeding tube

placement and lumbar punctures at other institutions. Do your radiologists

routinely use fluoro for these procedures? What do the badge readings for

your techs look like after these types of procedures are performed?
