Re: Two Person Debate and more
Hi All,
I agree with Phillipe Duport: this is a fundamental debate that should not be restricted in any way. Even if there are mostly two persons
involved. Like others, I have been following the debate but have not yet decided to to weigh in on the mailing list. However, Joe and I have decided
to write a Letter to the Editor on this subject and we have a first draft by now. It is very simple and reminds people that a lot of the confusion in
this fire fight stems from the astonishing fact that people do not state what the scientific question is that they are trying to answer. As we think
that everyone wants to do the "scientifically correct" thing, our attitude should not be too far off the mark.
