RE: LNT (Gangrene x-ray therapy)
John, All,
I retrieved a few of the papers from the med school library. I put a few pages of one later and substantial summary of some work by Kelly in Radiology 1941 on the web site as tif images (since the lo-res gif files didn't seem to make it in a browser window). See:

Any comments are appreciated. Let me know if there are download problems.
Regards, Jim

Jim,
I assume you have proof of this effect? Than why do we not use it today?
(Please note that I do cut off extraneous material rather than keep
recycling it and tying up bandwidth.)

In the '20s low dose radiation (to a few hundred rad) stopped gangrene in
its tracks, virtually eliminating amputations and death when not advanced to
terminal conditions.
