Re: Contamination found in deer

Several times over the years, I've asked the Editors of the Journal to republish some of the important articles from the 60's.  But even the simply ones are filled with interesting recorded measurements:

Radioactivity in Northern Alaskan Eskimos and Their Foods, Summer 1962   (Volume 10, Number 6 - June 1964)

Abstract:  Whole body burdens of radionuclides, especially cesium-137, were deteremined in 703 northern Alaskan Eskimos in the summer of 1962.  Correlation of these amounts with dietary information obtained from the subjects showed Cs-137 body burdens were directly related to amounts of caribou or reindeer consumed.  Maximum Cs-137 body burdens were found in residents of Anaktuvuk Pass, where an average adult contained about 450 nCi.
