NRC & DOT compatibility with IAEA TS-R-1

Can anyone tell me if Pu-244 is ever used as a sealed source for well

logging.  The NRC Federal Register notice of 4/30/02 on changes to Part 71

(Transportation) includes an exemption for Pu-244 special form sources but I

do not think such a source would exist.



This topic of NRC & DOT Compatibility with IAEA TS-R-1 would be a good one

to get started as a string for this forum.
