    How can you have such little faith?  Don't you realize that the people making these judgments have only your best interests at heart. Implicit in the "precautionary principle" is the idea that it is bad for you to take risks and they know which risks are the worst ones. True believers do not question their guidance.
    Of course, should prefer science, you will have to seek elsewhere for guidance.

Of course this list does not even begin to consider the unintended consequences of regulations relating to these "hazards."  Somehow we need to be able to put ranges of values onto the hazards so people and regulators can use common sense in applying regulatory restrictions.
