HP I Positions Available
Safety and Ecology Corporation (SEC) has two Health Physicist I openings for
projects located in Oak Ridge, TN and Portsmouth, OH.
Minimum Skills Required:
Strong general knowledge of radiation protection fundamentals, including
internal and external dosimetry, shielding design, ALARA evaluation,
regulatory requirements, program development, instrumentation, health
effects of radiation, hazard assessment, survey design and implementation,
laboratory analysis and quality assurance. Demonstrated ability to
implement and apply technical knowledge and theory to practical field
situations. The individual may have equivalent knowledge and skills in a
technical area other than radiation protection if that is the primary area
that he/she will provide expertise in.
* The Oak Ridge HP I position requires complete gamma spec experience.
Qualifications Include:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in relevant technical or applied
activities.
B.S. degree in Health Physics, Engineering, Science, or related field.
DOE "L" or "Q" security clearance or the ability to obtain the same, as
required.
Professional Certifications Required:
Nationally recognized certification preferred (e.g., NRRPT, CHP, CIH)
