Re:natural isotopes measured by WBC-compiled list

Dear radsafers,

The following isotopes are identifiable by WBC Ge detectors in the WBC

scan room:

keV possible isotopes

2614 Tl-208

1765 Bi-214

1592.6 Tl-208 (2614 - 2 * 511)

1460 K-40

1238 Bi-214

1120.5 Bi-214

969.2 Ac-228

911.1 Ac-228

609 Bi-214

583 Tl-208

352 Pb-214

295.4 Pb-214

238.5 Pb-212

185.7 U-235

92.8 Th-234

63.3 Th-234

669.8 Th-233 ???

that are the isotope peaks which can be identified by a whole body counter

Ge detector in my scan room.

As the local geographical nature of granite rock building material, Radon

and thoron family together with Potassium K and Uranium minerals are common.

Thank you for any comment on the above observations.

Regards

John Lam
