The two are:
K4[Fe(II)(CN)6]
and
K3[Fe(III)(CN)6]
precipitated with Fe(III).
Perhaps it was a tri- or tetraammonium complex with NH4 [Fe(II/III)(CN)6] .
I played with both of them as a kid (still have them in my home -
inaccessible to kids...). Used the dark blue color to paint some pieces of
furniture in my room.
Hmm - may be one should go to the ol' Chemical Abstracts etc (warm acid
medium question & dissociation constants).
