A friend gave me sheet music for "Radium Dance" (1904) - a hottune in its day
Title: A friend gave me sheet music for "Radium
Dance" (1904)
Ruth Weiner's comments about the Isotopes prompted another
light hearted comment.
Maybe the Albuquerque NM "Isotopes" are looking for
their own theme music.
If
anyone has an interest in this old sheet music, I would be happy to
pass it on to someone who would like it. Maybe one of the surviving
"Mutants" who entertained at AAPM annual meetings 20
years ago would like it. I'll pay the postage.
Next
week we move back to our winter home in Gainesville, Florida. It
doesn't affect my e-mail address. Best wishes, John Cameron
The new Albuquerque, N. M. baseball team is called the ISOTOPES!! The
logo is a capital A (for Albuquerque) surrounded by orbiting
baseballs (as in the familiar electron orbit logo). The team's
owner is quoted in this morning's paper as saying that he doesn't
know exactly what an isotope is.
In the words of Dave Barry: I am not making this up.
Apparently the idea is from the Simpsons, not from Sandia or Los
Alamos Labs.
