regulations

Ask all the people in Florida who lived in houses built in compliance with the codes (regulations) if that was good enough when the hurricane came through a few years ago and destroyed their entire neighborhoods. Anyone with a brain knew those codes weren't adequate but hey the building industry had to make some money right??????

Would you build a home to codes and no better? That should answer your question. The same applies to radiation protection. If you will seek treatment from a therapy facility that meets NRC regs but doesn't go the additional steps to meet AAPM protocols you are really pressing your luck.
