clients, a San Francisco Bay area company developing technology for
radiation oncology and vascular brachytherapy. Any interested individuals

Director of Medical Physics
The Director of Medical Physics is a member of the R&D team who has working
knowledge of the overall characteristics and clinical relevance of radiation
oncology treatment machines and equipment, is cognizant of procedures
commonly used in brachytherapy and has the education and expertise necessary
to generate radiation dose distributions and dose calculations in
collaboration with the medical physicist and radiation oncologist, and/or
direct people with such skills. Incumbent responsiblities shall include
Dosimetry and the Dosimetry Lab, MCNP modeling, Radiation Safety, Treatment
Planning, Radiation Quality Assurance, Clinical Training & Education.
Requirements & Qualifications:
The employee possesses a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in a field
of the physical or biological sciences and has a subsequent period of
professional experience in medical physics for a minimum of 12 years, and
industry experience with a company in the radiation oncology space for a
minimum of 6 years.
* Must be able to understand the technical aspects of radiation
oncology and medical physics as well as the expectations of radiation
oncologists to explain the performance of the company's products, derive
computerized treatment plans and communicate these aspects effectively to a
radiation oncologist for approval, and to the radiation therapist for plan
implementation.
* Have working knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and
regulations of the NRC
* Have working knowledge of test, calibration, and measurement
equipment and accessories used in dosimetry.
* Proficiency in MCNP modeling
