Re: Radiation-Proof Uniform?
Interesting - in the diagnostic radiology energy range (approx. 30 keV
eff) - _NOTHING_ has 8 times the mass attenuation coefficient of lead!
ie. "At approximately one-eighth the weight of older,traditional leaded
garments, Demron provides comparable radiation blocking" : (100 kVp with
2.5 mmAl inherent approx = 26 keV eff - first hvl). In fact even up to
100 kV - still the same observation.
