The University of Louisville has a challenging and excitin career opportunity for the position of Assistant Radiation Safety Officer in our Environmental Health and Safety Department. This position is needed to support our radpidly growing biomedical research programs as well as clinical uses of radiation. The successful candidate will be responsible for laboratories and clinical areas at U of L to meet Agreement State of Kentucky, EPA and granting agency requirements regarding radiation safety. The University holds two broad radioactive materials licenses, which govern the use of radioactive materials in research laboratories, a cancer center, hospital and PET imaging center. A qualified and motivated individual will find a unique opportunity to apply health physics training and experience in a diverse research and clinical setting. This position will assist the Radiation Safety Officer in overseeing the conduct of radiation safety activities for a main campus and a heal!
