Doug,
Most large licensees badge their work-force even though they may not
exceed the 10CFR20 10% requirement for monitoring. It just makes good
sense, especially when the short-term visitor has the potential to
have received significant dose from other facilities in the current
year. For those who do a lot of travelling, the worker is generally
smart enough to maintain all of the Form 5 dose reports submitted,
and is easily transcribed into a current Form 4 upon request at
another facility.
