Doug,



Most large licensees badge their work-force even though they may not 

exceed the 10CFR20 10% requirement for monitoring. It just makes good 

sense, especially when the short-term visitor has the potential to 

have received significant dose from other facilities in the current 

year. For those who do a lot of travelling, the worker is generally 

smart enough to maintain all of the Form 5 dose reports submitted, 

and is easily transcribed into a current Form 4 upon request at 

another facility.
