I've heard that there's a statue base somewhere in Washington DC that's

significantly radioactive (yes, I know, many rocks in the area are!) in

relation to other areas.

Sorry, I cannot help you with the Washington statue, but fyi the base of the

statue of Goethe opposite the University of Fine Arts in Vienna is made of a

special granite, which is "highly" radioactive. Students use to demonstrate

this to their girl friends.....
