RE: Radioiodine Therapy - Identification Card?

Title: Message
I wish you lots of luck.  My son has a non-radioactive cochlear implant in his skull in order to be able to hear.  It triggers an alarm in the airport personnel scanners. Although he has a wallet size card identifying the implant, date of implantation, hospital and P.O.C., he still has to endure manual scanning.  The security guards refuse to read the card when it is offered to them.

Subject: Radioiodine Therapy - Identification Card?

Has anyone considered providing I-131 therapy outpatients with some form of identification that could be used if stopped by police or other officials who are now equipped with radiation detectors?

Something that identifies the isotope, date of administration and the institution P.O.C.?

A wallet sized card perhaps.....Any thoughts or examples out there????

Thanks
