Tyco/Healthcare/Mallinckrodt has an immediate opening at their radiopharmaceutical manufacturing facility in St Louis, MO for a Manager of Environmental, Health & Safety/RSO. Activities at the site include the use of kCi quantities of radionuclides for the production of radiopharmaceuticals. The facility possesses two licenses from the NRC including a Type A broad scope license and a medical distribution license. In addition, two state registrations are maintained for operation of several isotope production cyclotrons and possession of accelerator produced materials.
Typical duties include managing, controlling and improving all aspects of regulatory compliance and the operational oversight program. This includes managing the Health Physics, Occupational Safety and Environmental programs. The individual filling this position will be responsible for all aspects of the Radiation Protection Program including licensing, training, ALARA and auditing. He or she will also serve as the liaison with outside regulatory agencies.
Qualification include: A bachelors degree in Health Physics/Engineering/Safety. An MS is preferred. CHP preferred. 10 years progressive experience in Environmental, Health and Safety programs. A minimum of two years Supervisory experience. Excellent communication skills.
