I have used scint fluor on floor tiles to demonstrate tracking. 

This works if you have light colored tiles and an area you can track

fluor in..I wouldn't recommend it for rugs and "nice" areas. The advantage

is that it can't contaminate anything and give you chemiluminescent false

positives. Since 

its just floor tracking, it isn't likely to show up in embarrasing places.

Oh and becareful which you use. Don't use a fluor with a very volatile

solvent content. 

I found Biosafe works well. Liquiscint had to strong an odor and made the

room unpleasant.

When I used to teach basic radiation to new workers, I would always pass 

out old film badges so the students could take them apart and see what 

was in them.  This was accompanied by instructions on how they work and 

how to take care of the film badge.  This demo preceeded the course on 

contamination control.  The film packets were kept in a small box with 

fluorescent powder.  As I introduced the subject of contamination we 

would announce that the film packets were contaminated and proceed to 

use a black light to see where the contamination went.  Careful to not 

embarrass somebody.  It quickly became apparent that contamination could 

get on the clothes, face, hands, arms, crotch area , hair, and on books, 

seats and other items.  We had fun and a few red faces, but the lesson 

was effective!
