Coloration of Inovision 451-Series Meters
Folks
I have it, from an authoritative source, that the manufacturer is considering, as part of an economizing drive, offering these instruments only in the red and yellow scheme. I.e., the gray and yellow case may be phased out. This is evidently because the overwhelming majority of orders they're receiving is for red/yellow.
I think that this idea is short-sighted. Five will get you ten, that there are lots of people ordering, just now, for emergency preparedness, etc., where flaming red/yellow is an advantage, or, at least, not disadvantageous. But, when working in, say, a clinical environment, we usually are trying to reduce people's anxiety levels as much as possible. Walking around with an meter, the colors of which holler *emergency*, is IMHO counter-productive.
If anyone out there feels similarly, I encourage you to let Inovision (now Cardinal Health) know. Hint: they monitor this list.
Cheers
cja
