I am not sure I understand your reply. Are you still saying that Dr. Cohen has always been treated with respect on RADSAFE or are you saying that he hasn't, but it's his fault?
I agree with your use of the words "religious", "heretic", and "believer", but don't find any of them applicable to Dr. Cohen.

I think that Dr. Cohen knows that he is involved in a very contentious issue, which take on religious overtones. You either are a believer or a heretic. That is an unfortunately reality.
Personally, I feel that his monitary offer was a poor decision. It just threw another issue into the debate that had nothing to do with the science or validity of the data.

I guess I disagree with the assertion that Dr. Cohen has "always" been treated with respect in this discussion. I have been deleting most of these messages after scanning, but recall one titled "Bogus Reward Offers" and many others somewhat less egregious, but still offensive. I am not surprised that Dr. Cohen felt he was under personal attack.
