I think that Dr. Cohen knows that he is involved in a very contentious issue, which take on religious overtones. You either are a believer or a heretic. That is an unfortunately reality.
Personally, I feel that his monitary offer was a poor decision. It just threw another issue into the debate that had nothing to do with the science or validity of the data.

I have been deleting most of these messages after scanning, but recall one titled "Bogus Reward Offers" and many others somewhat less egregious, but still offensive.
