MEXICAN TE/NORM

Greetings:

I am seeking information on the regulation of naturally occurring radionuclides (NORM) in Mexico. I have seen Nick Tsurikov's excellent web site, and am looking at the Reglamiento General De Seguridad Radiologica, which may be helpful. In the interim, I would be interested in hearing from anyone with information to share on Mexican regulation of NORM.

For example, in the USA, we are accustomed to NRC's federal threshold of 0.05 wt% U and/or Th triggering federal licensing (now complicated somewhat by State's regulation of progeny as NORM or TENORM). Are there analogous regulations in Mexico? Is there a threshold activity concentration for deciding whether a material is 'radioactive' ? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.
